Dealing with Personal Data

Personal data is information with the help of which a person can be identified, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, email address or telephone number. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed count as personal data.

Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on by the provider if this is permitted by law or if the user consents to the collection of such data.

Personal data is collected when participating in competitions on this website. In order to participate, users must expressly consent to the use and disclosure of personal data as described herein. The website owner (Hockey Club Davos AG) and the sponsors (UBS, Würth) are authorized to store and process the data, to create profiles from them and to use them for marketing purposes. In addition, the website owner is entitled to forward the data to the sponsors (UBS, Würth).

The website owner (Hockey Club Davos AG) and the sponsors (UBS, Würth) use the data to identify the winners of the competitions, to distribute the prizes and to analyze the users in terms of age, gender and popularity of the competitions or activities.
Except as described above, the website owner (Hockey Club Davos AG) will not share user's personal information with anyone except with the express consent of the user, as required by law, or to enforce the rights of the website owner (Hockey Club Davos AG).

This data collection is GDPR compliant and the website owner (Hockey Club Davos AG) is authorized based on article 4 (4) GDPR to store, process and profile the data.  Detailed information on your rights can be found in the GDPR here.

The user can revoke his consent at any time and without indication of reasons with immediate effect. If you revoke your consent to data processing, you are no longer entitled to participate in competitions and may not be able to use all functions of the website. Contact Us

When contacting the provider (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

Newsletter

With the registration to the newsletter you provide us with your email and can optionally enter your name, we then inform you about our offers.

In addition, your IP address and the date of registration will also be stored during registration, the latter only for the purpose of proof in the event of abusive registration. We use the list provider MailChimp to send out our newsletter. MailChimp is provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318 ("Rocket").

The data stored during registration is encrypted and transmitted to Rocket and stored by Rocket. After registration, MailChimp will send you an e-mail to confirm your registration. In addition, MailChimp offers various analysis options on how the sent newsletters are opened and used, e.g. how many users an e-mail was sent to, whether e-mails were rejected and whether users unsubscribed from the list after receiving an e-mail. However, these analyses are only group-related and are not used by us for individual evaluation.

MailChimp also uses the Google Analytics analysis tool from Google, Inc. and may include it in its newsletters. Further details about the privacy policy of MailChimp can be found here: www.mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

It may happen that contents of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online presence. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") perceive the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the contents. However, we have no influence over whether the third party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. As far as this is known to us, we inform the users about it.

Ticketing

If you order tickets via www.hcd.ch or www.spenglercup.ch, your customer data will be stored in the CRM database at Hockey Club Davos AG. This data will be used for the dispatch of the tickets and will not be passed on to third parties.
If you purchase tickets via our ticket partner TICKETMASTER, the data protection regulations of ticketmaster.ch apply.

Social Media

Use of Facebook
Facebook Pixel, Facebook Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion
Within our online presence, the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used.
With the help of the Facebook Pixel, Facebook is able to determine you as a visitor of our online presence and as a target group for the presentation of ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online presence or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that are determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). Using Facebook Pixels, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads match the potential interest of users and are not annoying. Using Facebook Pixels, we can further track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing if users were referred to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (known as "conversion").

  • Facebook Privacy Policy
Facebook processes the data in accordance with Facebook's data usage policy. Accordingly, general instructions on the presentation of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook's data usage policy. Specific information and details about Facebook Pixels and how they work can be found in the help section of Facebook.
  • EU-US Privacy Shield
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European Data Protection law.
  • Foundation
The use of Facebook Pixel and the storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both our website and our advertising.
  • Order data processing contract
For the processing of the data for which Facebook acts as an order data processor, we have concluded an order data processing agreement with Facebook in which we oblige Facebook to protect the data of our customers and not to pass it on to third parties.
  • Objection
Although we publish our legitimate interest in using Facebook Pixel and storing "conversion cookies," we also offer opt-out options. You may opt out of Facebook Pixel collection and use of your information to display Facebook Ads. To set what types of ads you see within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on how to set up usage-based ads.  The settings are platform-independent, which means they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices. You may object to the use of cookies to measure range and for advertising purposes via the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page, and also via the U.S. aboutads.info website or the European youronlinechoices.com website.
