HALL OF FAME
To mark the 100-year history of the Spengler Cup, a dedicated museum area was established in the Davos Eisstadion in December 2023. As part of this exhibition, the unique Spengler Cup Hall of Fame was created.
The Hall of Fame shortlist includes fifty players and nine officials. From 2023 (100 years of the Spengler Cup) until the 100th edition of the tournament in 2028, a selected number of players will be inducted each year – in six stages, following a chronological order. These honourees are individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the history of the Spengler Cup and to international ice hockey. During the preselection and voting process, the Hall of Fame working group, the Hall of Fame commission, and the Board of Directors of HC Davos placed great importance on recognising players from different eras and hockey cultures, as well as forwards, defencemen, and goaltenders – without adhering to rigid quotas.
