Pardubice finish atop their group with narrow win
Dynamo Pardubice defeated KalPa Kuopio 2-1 on Thursday afternoon to secure the top spot in their group. Tomas Zohorna scored the game-winner for the leader in the Czech league 174 seconds before the end of regulation.
Battle for group stage wins
The two group stage winners at the 95 th Spengler Cup in Davos will be determined on Thursday. At 3.10pm Dynamo Pardubice will face off against KalPa Kuopio. And at 8.15pm HC Davos will play Team Canada.
Two HCD Swedes down Frolunda
HCD has successfully started into the 95th Spengler Cup with a 4-1 victory over Frolunda Gothenburg on Wednesday night. In a very fast-paced game, it was two Swedes, Dennis Rasmussen (2) and Klas Dahlbeck, who scored the first three goals for Davos. And Davos was backed by their strong goaltender Sandro Aeschlimann.
Ambri-Piotta remains in race for group stage win
HC Ambri-Piotta defeated KalPa Kuopio 5-3 at the Spengler Cup in Davos on Wednesday afternoon. The game was decided early in the third period. To win their group, the Ticinesi now rely on the Finns’ help when they face Dynamo Pardubice.
KalPa and HCD start into the tournament
On the second tournament day, KalPa Kuopio and HCD will make their first appearances at the 95th Spengler Cup. The Finns will take on Ambri-Piotta on Wednesday at 3.10 pm. In the evening game, Davos will host Frolunda HC at 8.15pm.
Team Canada starts with convincing victory
Team Canada defeated tournament newbie Frolunda Gothenburg 4-0 at the 95th Spengler Cup in Davos. Best advertisement with his shutout came from Aaron Dell, the currently unsigned goaltender.
Pardubice wins in overtime
Dynamo Pardubice won the first game of the 95th Spengler Cup against Ambri-Piotta 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday. Lukas Sedlak scored the game-winner 75 seconds into overtime.
Two blockbusters to start off
Defending champion Ambri-Piotta and Dynamo Pardubice, one of the most commonly named favourites, will open the 95th Spengler Cup on December 26. The evening matchup features Team Canada looking for redemption and tournament newbie Frolunda Gothenburg.

Welcome to the Spengler Cup Hall of Fame
This year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Spengler Cup. Hockey teams played for the trophy donated by Dr. Carl Spengler for the first time in 1923. The first seven players will be inducted into the new Spengler Cup Hall of Fame during Boxing Week 2023.
