Spengler Cup Davos and the two Gold Partners Würth and Schenker Storen will continue to work together to achieve elite performances in the future. The contract extensions by three years each - through the 2025 Spengler Cup - were announced at the traditional VIP event at the Schatzalp.

Würth has been a Spengler Cup Gold Partner for 15 years. Würth is a world market leader in their main area of business, the trade of tools and fasteners. The Swiss Würth enterprise took the opportunity to get in touch with customers in person at the Spengler Cup. The Würth group is especially excited for this year’s event as it has lacked the ability to build customer relationships in the past years. It especially appreciates the relaxed atmosphere of the sporting event paired with the top-level athletic performances. “The Würth Group looks forward to the continued cooperation, which is marked by openness, fairness, and partnership”, according to Thomas Tanner, Managing Director of Würth International AG.

Schenker Storage has been a Spengler Cup Gold Partner for the past ten years. The number 1 in the Swiss sun and weather protection market has a lot in common with the Spengler Cup. Both have a long tradition, enjoy a good reputation amongst the Swiss people, and continue to impress with high effort and dynamic. Furthermore, Schenker Storen stands out with its extensive, innovative product portfolio and high-quality installation and maintenance service. “At the Spengler Cup we are able stay present in the months when sun and weather protection are less top-of-mind. And, of course, we look forward to continuing shared experiences with customers, partners, and friends”, says Marcel Frei, CEO of Schenker Storen.
Both long-time partners are happy that the Spengler Cup will be held in the newly renovated Eisstadion for the first time this year. “First and foremost, these renovations stand for the Spengler Cup’s responsible progression, which is important to us as a partner”, according to Marcel Frei, CEO of Schenker Storen. “In addition, the stadium provides new, digital advertising possibilities, which allow increased brand presence.” The new Eisstadion also features a new Würth workshop for the ice maintenance staff. “This is of course a special highlight during stadium tours”, says Andrea Frei, Head of Corporate Communications at Würth International.
Marc Gianola, president of the organizing committee of the Spengler Cup, is proud that the collaboration with both partners is marked by continuity. “Thanks to their support as partners, we can focus on the organization and development of the tournament and, in the coming year, joyfully celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Spengler Cup Davos.”
