Dynamo triumphs - Davos hopes Canada stumbles

Moscows Maxim Isaiev against Jan Baur
With their 4:3 victory Monday against Karlovy Vary, the Dynamo Moscow have secured a place in the 82nd Spengler Cup Finale.
When in the 14th minute Prosek mistakenly diverted a shot taken by Cajaneks into his own goal, the Russians were already leading by a decisive 2 goals. Despite the fact that Prosek was able temporarily to make up for his error, hitting the right goal this time, defender Razin (22) quickly re-established the old goal difference, beautifully outmanoeuvring the Czech goalie.
Impressive solo performance by Ex-NHL-Star
Dimitri Afanasenkow was undoubtedly the overwhelming star of the evening. With his brilliant solo attack, the former Stanley Cup winner (2004 with Tampa Bay) enraptured all of the 5230 spectators. Despite heavy opposition from the Czechs, there was no separating the ex-NHL professional from the puck while he setting up the 4:1 score with a perfect pass.
Davos Fans now also Dynamo Fans
Because of a massive mistake by Moscow player Kostal, the Russians gave away a goal making it 3:4 in the 58th minute, putting themselves unnecessarily on the spot. At this point the only remaining possible opponents for the Finals are Team Canada and the HCD. If the Canadians win their last game against the Dynamo, it will automatically disqualify the HC Davos.
