And then there were three: Ingolstadt is also out

Goalie Jimmy Waite (Ingolstadt)
The result for the first game of the Spengler Cup's fourth day has further reduced the candidates for the tournament finale. After Karlovy Vary's elimination, Ingolstadt too must cede any hope of playing in the Finals.
Again the representative from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) seemed a little overstretched in their third match. Unlike HC Davos, the outcome of the tournament is no longer of relevance to the Bavarian participants. On the other hand Team Canada which made easy work of Ingolstadt, continues to be on track for an appearance in the tournament's finale for the fourth consecutive time.
Fata and Toms scored
Team Canada had the luxury of slowing down the pace, controlling the game, and reducing the offensive charges after Dale Clarke made the score 3:0 in the 22nd minute. Rico Fata from Biel scored the leading goal in the 15th minute during the Powerplay and in the 19th minute the North American's literally danced rings around the numerically inferior team from Ingolstadt. All Jeff Toms, the center-forward from Langnau needed to do was slide the puck into the net after an impressive direct combination.
