IMG brings BSH to the Spengler Cup

Siemens will act as a sponsor of the Spengler Cup
IMG International Management Group and BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte AG have agreed to collaborate at the Spengler Cup. The Siemens brand will act as a sponsor. This is yet another marketing success chalked up by IMG at this traditional ice hockey tournament.
At the start of November IMG was pleased to announce that ŠKODA is acting as official sponsor at this year’s Spengler Cup, where it will have extensive advertising rights. Siemens, another big-name brand, is now using the Spengler Cup to showcase itself. BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte AG is the biggest household appliance manufacturer in Europe and is one of the leading companies in the sector worldwide.
High visibility on jerseys and ice
As part of the official sponsor package, Siemens has the opportunity to advertise both on the jerseys of participating club EHC Wolfsburg and on the ice. The advertising package also incorporates an extensive presence on TV and in printed media, as well as VIP and public ticket contingents.
“The comprehensive and varied communication services generate integrated marketing opportunities that Siemens can use to achieve its marketing objectives,” comments Jürgen Krucker, Managing Director of IMG (Schweiz) AG, on the sponsorship package.
Possibility of long-term collaboration
Arrangements are now in place for the first collaboration between IMG and Siemens at this edition of the Spengler Cup. Talks will be held on the possibility of long-term collaboration after this year’s competition.
The Spengler Cup will again be broadcast LIVE on all three of SRG’s publicly regulated channels this year and can be watched by international viewers. The Spengler Cup was broadcast to over 65 countries in 2010 and it is anticipated that similar coverage will again be achieved in 2011.
As usual, the traditional ice hockey tournament will be held in Davos from 26-31 December.
