The Spengler Cup will kick off this coming Friday, December 26th when the Dynamo Moscow and HC Davos face-off.  "The final preparations are under way and going according to plan.  Expectations are high," explained Fredi Pargätzi, the Organizational Committee President.  Standing room tickets are still available for those who wish to attend on the spur of the moment. 

Seats for all eleven games of this year's Spengler Cup have already sold out.  The remaining places for standing room are still available at www.spenglercup.ch or www.hcd.ch.  Spengler Cup tickets are also available at the HC Davos sale offices from ticketportal at all large Swiss train stations and at every Rhaetian Bahn station ticket counter. 

Take the Rhaetian Bahn to the Spengler Cup

There will be very limited parking available around the Vaillant Arena during the Spengler Cup.  Therefore, those who arrive by automobile are asked to use the extensive free parking that will be provided around the Lake Davos.  From this parking lot, a free shuttle bus will provide transportation to and from the Vaillant Arena before and after each game.  Thanks to the Rhaetian Bahn visitors to the Spengler Cup will have access to free train tickets for travel between Davos and Chur (2nd Class).  The following special trains have been scheduled to run after evening games: 

Direction Chur: leave Davos Platz at 23:00 (11pm) /  Klosters st 23:26 (11:23pm) / Klosters Dorf at 23.32 (11:32pm) / Landquart at 00.14 (12:14am) / arrive Chur at 00.38 (12:38am) 

Additional stops at stations between Davos and Chur can be requested at the Davos Platz rail station before the departure of the train.  The special train runs 30 minutes after the end of the evening game any time after 23:00 (11:00pm) from Davos Platz.

The Vereina Tunnel car train will run from 23:40 (11:40pm) starting at Klosters-Selfranga, in addition to the usual time table, from December 26th to 30th.    

Fan Zone

This year the Fan Zone is larger and boasts even more activities.  A band will play and a DJ will be pumping out the beats live each day.  Among the artists will be Chue Lee, the winner of the 2006 Walo Prize, the legendary Charly's Party Band and Family Tree.  Two large screens will display highlights from additional sporting events and music videos during all Spengler Cup games.  The Countdown Program with interesting news items from around the Spengler Cup, interviews with players and trainers will be broadcast live from the Fan Zone.  In the Sponsors Village, Spengler Cup sponsors and partners offer attractive games and activities for entertainment.
