Double Television Premiere

Spengler Cup-TV: Host Alexandra Sola
Over 170 media representatives will report from the Spengler Cup in Davos December 26th to 31st. The media spectacle in the Vaillant Arena will be covered on the Inhouse-TV station and the live pictures from the Cup will reach as far away as Asia.
Visiting Spengler Cup fans will want to know what an ice hockey star eats for breakfast or what he does on his day off from playing. The enormous interest in these incidentals surrounding the players of the Spengler Cup became apparent last year when for the first time the tournament was streamed on the internet by Spengler Cup-TV. As a result, the contract with the Producer Alexandra Sola was extended four years adding yet another media outlet.
Inhouse-TV celebrates Premiere
This year for the first time the tournament's own Inhouse-TV will begin broadcasting one hour before the start of the game until the final whistle blows. The broadcasts will bring you player interviews, cover issues inside and outside the stadium as well as diverse play-related animations. The broadcasts will be moderated by Karin Lanz and Stefan Eggli. Eggli is responsible for the informative colour commentary and will engage in expert analysis with former Swiss international player, Vjeran Ivankovic. Karin Lanz will interview prominent guests thus adding a touch of glamour atmosphere to the show which will be broadcast inside the Vaillant Arena, along the Fan Mile and the VIP area inside the EisDome.
Shortly before each broadcast of the Inhouse-TV begins, the Spengler Cup-TV, which will celebrate its second year on air, will be shown. The program producer and presenter, Alexandra Sola, herself once an accomplished athlete, will accompany the teams during their pre-game preparations, look over the shoulders of the masseurs and equipment caretaker, and chew the fat with in-house guests, Snowboard World Champion Manuela Pesko or Gian Gilli ("General Secretary" of the Ice Hockey World Championships 2009 in Switzerland). Cameraman Peter Steinmann, also a former quintathelete, will closely follow along to catch all the action.
Over 170 media and press people
Between Christmas and New Year the Spengler Cup develops into a national and international media sports event. With a crew of over 50 people, the TV Production Center Zurich AG (tpc) in Davos will be responsible for broadcasting the Spengler Cup action to an international audience. In addition to these workers, another 15 employees from accredited television stations will report daily from the Vaillant Arena and 25 photographers will capture the events happening in and around the arena.
