Ingolstadt will be without Laporte in Davos

Benoit Laporte feuert Ingolstadt nicht mehr an
Last week the ERC Ingolstadt reacted to the recent tumble in the standings that the team has taken, and relieved its head coach Benoit Laporte of his duties with immediate effect.
Greg Thomson, who has worked as Assistant Coach, will take over the Head Coach post. In his first three games as Head Coach, the 45 year old Thomson succeeded in winning twice including a victory at Hamburg and a victory at home against Düsseldorf.
When the team comes to compete in the Spengler Cup later this month, Tobias Abstreiter will stand at his side as the co-trainer. The Thomson/Abstreiter duo will lead Ingolstadt to Davos. "We are looking forward to the Spengler Cup and will offer the public ice hockey with a new fresh kick," explained Oliver Bauer, the Ingolstadt spokes person.
