Jim Koleff

Jim Koleff has lost his fight against the vicious disease from which he had been suffering.

Together with his family and Swiss Ice Hockey, I mourn for this special personality of our sport.  Above all I have lost a good friend.  As recently as during last year's Spengler Cup, Jim passionately worked as the full-blooded ice hockey coach he was in the position of Assistant Coach for Team Canada.  In this capacity, he also was our main point of contact to the future 2007 tournament winners.   This year at the Spengler Cup, his place at the boards will reaming empty.  Jimmy, you will be missed.
